Alzheimer's waltz

1
I'm looking for some stem cells
To ease my troubled mind
My brain is shrinking daily
And I might leave you behind
I won't mind it if I dribble
Or if wastes run down my thigh
But if I forget you darling
I think I'd rather die.

2
Stem cells are just cells that ain't made up their minds
Just what they're going to be
Might be heart cells, might be muscle, might be liver or lungs
But its brain cells that matter to me.

3
Lipo-suction out some gut fat
Fertilise somebody's egg
Grow them stem cells up in culture
Just get me lots, I beg
Inject my hippocampus
Squirt some more in my cortex
Show me pictures, jog my memory
Just make sure I don't forget.

4
I don't want to get lost in this Alzheimer's waltz
Losing more memories each day
There must be some cure for this god-awful disease
Science might yet find a way

5
Yes I'm looking for some stem cells
To ease my troubled mind
To do something or other
Bugger it, I've forgotten what it was. (Spoken)
(Piano plays to end)
Sorry, do I know you?
